I'll tell you why.
People judge you in church, they scan your every motion, every eye twitch, what you wear, what you look at etc.
What I thought was the office area of the church turned out to be the actual service room. I walked into the church while a service was still going. The sermon had to be stopped and EVERYONE looked at me. Not the most comfortable of feelings haha.

One day, the snow on the streets had all melted and the only snow you saw were in yards or far to the sides of the roads, it started to snow again. Mixing with the water on the road made a slushy slippery mess of fuck. With my 1990 Geo Prizm (does anyone even know this car?) I got the best traction on the roads...not. I was delivering across the street to a condo complex which was down a hill. A HILL A GLORIOUS HILL! A hill in which my car had no traction on and my car decided to say "fuck you delivery boy, im not going to stop in time." I slid all the way into a massive snowbank going around 15 miles an hour, causing an avalanche of snow to fall on my car and get stuck. I got out of my car, closed the door and realize. SHIT, i left the keys in the ignition. I walked to deliver the pizza, then walked back to my work, in which i had to wait for my friend to drive down to my house, get the spare key, and bring it to me so that i could get into my car.

At work atm, not working very hard, but there has been a good amount of deliveries. One of my last deliveries I went to a large condo community a couple streets down. I found the place with the door open, they were expecting me....
I walk in "hello?"
"We were expecting you..."
I was mistaken, for a birthday surpise. Yay large tip for the inconvenience. Woo!
He seems like a decent person, always leaves a large tip. But hes very firm with when he wants us deliverymen to leave. I pity the man. He has many dogs, but i doubt he has many friends.

Once upon a time, there was a pizza boy named Dan, it was his first night working and he didn't know what to expect. Luckily for him, he was being trained as a new recruit by his best friend Bryan. Bryan is described as one who is a "character." He goes through life, making it as enjoyable and funny as he possibly can, there is a very little amount of people who have not liked or grew fond of being around Bryan.
Bryan was very versed in his expertise as a pizza boy, considering the fact that he had been working for 2 years prior, he new the area and the street names of most of the delivery spots in the city he worked in.
On this first delivery night, it was obnoxiously busy, it was a Saturday night, which is normally the most busy next to only Friday in comparison. There were orders for 2-3 deliveries at a time and it came to the point in which Bryan could not take them all himself. That was where I came in. BaDadaDUH. Seeing as I was new, and Yianni, my boss, needed someone who could be fast and knew more of what they were doing in the store, I was sent out. To a long delivery about a 20 minute drive out. The name of the road was Stowell, and by looking at the map provided in the store. I had no clue where I was going. Bryan decided to lend my his GPS device since it was my first night and wasn't yet aquainted to the major roads in the area. He plugged in the road and house number and I was off, the road took my this way and that, up down, left right, and before I knew it I was lost. The GPS has taken me to a toll house on the side of the highway, and I knew this couldn't be right. I called the store and they told me that I was nowhere near where I was supposed to be. I reput in the street and I was off again in search of my destination. I ended up going to the airport, the bank, to lowes, to friendlys, to the bank again and to Dunkin Donuts. All places which were far far away from where I was supposed to be.
It was two hours since I had left the store for this one delivery. My phone had died and I decided to stop at this random house in the middle of nowhere to ask for directions. I got out of my car, pissy and stressed to the max, fearing for the life of my short career, I walked up to the house and rang the doorbell. The door opened, "its about time, is the food cold?" The random house ended up being where I was supposed to be, I gave them the food for free and paid for it myself. Oddly enough by that time I found my bearing and knew how to get back from where I was.
When I got back I was ridiculed and made fun of my all my coworkers, my boss wasn't mad and I was treated to pizza and other foods that we made in the store, for celebration of my first delivery, no matter how much of a failure it was.
From that night on, I received one of many nicknames. Stowell.
I work at a greek pizzaria off a road parralel to the main highway that goes through New Hampshire. It is also very conviniently located 1 exit away from the main airport that is in New Hampshire, making it one of the top recommended pizza places for all the hotels that are located around the airport.
